Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ArtPatt (artpatt.com). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

ArtPatt converts photos you provide into printable craft patterns (crochet, cross-stitch, knitting, diamond painting, embroidery, and others). Generating a preview pattern, saving one pattern, and a watermarked download are free. Clean, unwatermarked exports require either a one-time single-pattern unlock or a Pro subscription, as described on our pricing page.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively.

Your photos and patterns

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you confirm you have the right to use it (it's yours, you have permission, or it's otherwise lawful for you to convert into a pattern). You're free to use, sell, or share the patterns you generate — for personal projects, gifts, or items you make and sell.

Don't upload images that infringe someone else's copyright or trademark, contain illegal content, or that you don't otherwise have the right to use.

Payments and refunds

Paid purchases are processed by Polar, our third-party payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected until you cancel; you can cancel anytime from your account and keep access through the end of the current billing period. Single-pattern unlocks are a one-time purchase for that specific pattern.

Digital purchases are generally final once a clean export has been unlocked or downloaded. If something went wrong on our end — a failed export, a duplicate charge, anything like that — email us and we'll make it right.

Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Don't use automated tools to scrape or bulk-generate patterns in a way that abuses the free tier
• Don't use the service for anything unlawful

Our content

The ArtPatt website, pattern-generation engine, and branding are our property. These terms don't grant you any rights to our software, code, or trademarks beyond what's needed to use the service as intended.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

ArtPatt is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep pattern generation accurate (DMC color matching, yarn quantity estimates, stitch counts), but we don't guarantee the output will be error-free or perfectly match your project's materials. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ArtPatt isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use ArtPatt after a change means you accept the updated terms.
