A Bag Pattern, Not Just a Chart
A flat chart leaves the maths to you. This works it out for the bag.
Sized to go around
Choose small, medium or large and the chart is cut to the bag's circumference: a medium tote is 112 single crochet around at 16 stitches to 10 cm. The photo is cropped to fit, so a round face stays round.
A base that lands on the count
The oval tote base and the round mochila base are written out round by round, with every stitch count, and end on exactly the number of stitches the first chart round needs. Increases shift each round so the base stays round.
Every round on the right side
In the round you never turn, so every round is read the same way — right to left, or left to right if you crochet left-handed. The written rounds list each colour run in working order, marked ×2 when the picture repeats on the back.

The shopping list counts the chart as many times as it goes around, plus the base, the top rounds and the strap in the main colour — not just one panel.

The tote starts from a chain and an oval base, then goes straight up in tapestry single crochet. Two handle openings are worked into the top, one centred on the front and one on the back. Sizes run from a 28 cm wide small tote to a 42 cm wide large one.
The mochila starts from a magic ring and a flat round base. Above the picture comes an eyelet round for the drawstring, a few plain rounds, and a strap worked in rows and sewn inside at the two sides. It is the classic Wayuu-style shape, sized 25 to 36 cm wide.
