How do I print this checklist?

Click the 'Print / Save PDF' button at the top of the checklist, or use your browser's print shortcut (Ctrl+P on Windows, Cmd+P on Mac). In the print dialog, choose 'Save as PDF' to get a PDF file instead of printing on paper. The checklist is formatted for A4 and US Letter paper sizes.

Does this checklist save my progress?

Yes. Your checked colors are saved automatically in your browser's local storage — they persist between visits as long as you use the same browser on the same device. Clearing your browser's site data or switching to a different browser will reset the checklist.

How many DMC colors are there?

The standard DMC six-strand embroidery floss range has 393 colors, including whites, ecru, and the numbered range. This checklist includes all of them. DMC also produces specialty threads (Light Effects metallic, Color Variations, Satin, and Etoile) which have separate product lines and are not included in this standard cotton floss checklist.

Can I search for a specific color?

Yes. Use the search box at the top of the checklist to filter by DMC number (e.g. '321') or by color name (e.g. 'dusty rose'). The list updates instantly as you type. Search is case-insensitive and matches partial strings.

What is the difference between this and the DMC color chart?

The DMC color chart shows all colors with large swatches, hex codes, and color names — it is a reference tool for choosing colors and matching to digital values. This checklist is an inventory tool: it is designed to track which colors you physically own, check them off, and print the result for use at the craft store.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes. The checklist works on any device with a browser. On mobile, tap a color row to check or uncheck it. Your progress saves automatically. For printing from a phone, tap 'Print / Save PDF' and select your printer or a PDF app from the share sheet.
